Modification of Charge
All companies with registered charges. Any modification to the terms of an existing charge must be registered via Form CHG-1 within 30 days.
Lenders want security. Regulators want a paper trail. This gets you both. Section 77 (applies mutatis mutandis to modification) is what makes this enforceable against third parties. Concretely: partial release of charged assets (e.g., releasing one of several secured properties after partial loan repayment) is treated as Modification, not satisfaction — must be filed as such, not as a satisfaction of charge. Fi CTC Generator gets you there in under 3 minutes — correctly, the first time.
Form CHG-1 for modification must be filed within 30 days of the modification. Late filing attracts additional fees.
